International Wealth Structuring
How to grow and protect your wealth, wherever it's based.
The Youth Mobility visa allows eligible individuals from specific countries to come to the UK for up to two or three years. This visa scheme is designed to facilitate international cultural exchange and provide opportunities for young people from qualifying countries.
This route does not require applicants to have sponsorship, a job offer, or to meet specific skill or salary requirements.
Eligibility is, however, restricted by nationality, age thresholds, and in some cases, requires applicants to participate in a ballot before applying.
There are country-specific quotas for the Youth Mobility visa, which limit the number of visas granted annually per participating country. As mentioned above, for certain nationalities, entry into a ballot is required due to the high demand for this visa category.
A young person can apply for a Youth Mobility visa if they would like to come to the UK on a short-term basis, for up to two years, and they meet the following requirements:
An applicant will not qualify for a Youth Mobility visa if they have children under the age of 18 who live with them or are financially dependent on them, or if they have already lived in the UK under this visa scheme.

The Youth Mobility visa allows you to stay in the UK for up to two years.
Nationals of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand can extend their stay by a further 12 months from within the UK.
During the visa period, you may enter and leave freely.
If you turn above the applicable age threshold (31 or 36 depending on nationality) while in the UK, you can remain until your visa expires.
This visa does not lead to settlement; before your visa expires, you must either leave the UK or apply to switch into another visa category (where permitted) in order to avoid overstaying.
